I am truly thankful to God for my healing through Christian Science, having been an invalid for twenty years or more. About a year before I commenced taking this treatment, I went to one of the best specialists in Cincinnati and passed through a very painful operation. I of course expected to be well afterward, but my surprise can be imagined when the doctor told me I would have to undergo another operation or I would never be well. I came home in a wretched condition, feeling worse than before I went to the hospital. I went back to see the doctor in August, and he told me that I would surely have to be operated on or I would be an invalid the rest of my life.
I came home ill and discouraged, but I was persuaded by a friend to try Christian Science treatment, which I began in April, 1909. The greatest trouble which I had was caused by what the doctor said was a growth in my left side; but after taking Christian Science treatment five or six weeks the lump disappeared. I also had pain in the chest and back, but this was relieved almost with the first treatment. I used to wear glasses, but have not since my healing. Besides this, I had faint spells which came on every day after dinner. I have been helped out of so many ills that I can hardly write them down. My baby had been subject to convulsions, but he has not had them since we came to Christian Science.
I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for bringing to us this truth. We have had many demonstrations of the goodness of God during all this time, and we hope our experience may be the means of helping some other sufferer to health and happiness.
