From the December 1911 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In July, 1909, my wife was taken sick with so-called nervous collapse. A physician living in the same building, who was a long-time friend, treated her for two months, no doubt doing his best, but there seemed to be no change for the better. I called another doctor, and he advised me to have my wife taken to a hospital; but I would not give my consent, as her mother had given her the best of care through her illness and she could receive no better at a hospital. I then called a third doctor, and after treating her for some time he, too, pronounced the case beyond his skill. He said it was impossible for him to do any more, and advised me to have her taken to a sanitarium. I had the papers drawn up, when I was advised to try Christian Science. I did so, and the first three treatments caused her to have the first natural sleep in six months. In two weeks she was entirely cured.

We give our heartfelt thanks to God for this healing, and hope that we ourselves may be enabled to help many a sufferer to know the good that Christian Science is doing.
