As the Sentinel comes into our home week after week, and I read the helpful testimonies of others, I realize that none have more reason to be grateful for Christian Science than myself, and that this gratitude should be expressed both in words and deeds. My first healing in Christian Science took place over five years ago, and at that time I was in a state of semiinvalidism from an organic trouble which had caused me both mental and physical anguish for many months. Having had everything done for me that medicine could do, but receiving only temporary relief and no promise of permanent recovery, I decided to turn to Christian Science for help. I shall never forget the loving-kindness in which this help was given to me, and the hope and joy that came into my life with the first treatment. The healing was quick and permanent. I think I am safe in stating that I was healed in the first week's treatment, although I continued treatment either three or four weeks, so as to gain a fuller comprehension of this great truth which has been revealed to us.
Christian Science has also healed me of severe chronic headaches. In fact, I have had continual proof that in so far as I permit my ways to be governed by the teaching of Christian Science, I am not only kept well physically, but I am gaining that correct understanding of God, and of man's relation to Him, which is manifested as health and harmony. The Bible and Science and Health are my daily companions, and I say with most profound gratitude that I thank God for the revelation of Christian Science to this age, through our beloved Leader.— Houston, Texas.
