NEITHER pen nor tongue can ever express my gratitude to God for Christian Science, but this is a feeble attempt to tell of the many blessings it has brought into my life. I was in bed for three months, under the care of four doctors, who did the best for me they could. Three operations had been performed, and I was told I must have another for the removal of two of the abdominal organs before I would ever be well. After four weeks of great suffering I heard of two persons living near me who had been healed in a few treatments by Christian Science, and I thought that it would perhaps heal me too; so my husband went for a practitioner. She had been in the house only a few hours when I got up, dressed myself, and ate supper with my family of six children, and now I know it was not God's will that I should die and leave them, but rather that I should live and do His will.
There never was a time when I did not have a great desire to do some good for God and my fellow men, and Christian Science is showing me how that with God's help I can really and truly do good by helping His little ones. Our Master said, "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." My baby's mouth was cured in a few treatments. My husband has also been healed of lockjaw. He suffered for hours, but in fifteen minutes of Christian Science treatment he was comfortable and fast asleep. I am deeply grateful to God, and thankful to Mrs. Eddy for the true knowledge of the God "who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases." —Armstrong, Fla.
