For a long time I have wished to give expression to my gratitude for all that the study of Christian Science has brought to me. As a child I suffered from a catarrhal affection of the head and throat, also from severe earaches and attacks of lung trouble. At the time Christian Science was brought to our notice I was about nine years of age and had contracted whooping-cough, which was going the rounds in the school that I attended. A young man who had been healed of a so-called incurable disease, called my mother's attention to Christian Science, telling her of his own healing. She had never heard of Christian Science, but asked him if it would help me for my cough. He said it would and that he would treat me. He did so, and in one day the cough vanished; also other ailments were destroyed. This was twelve years ago. I never again suffered from earache or catarrh, and have had but one attack of the lung trouble, which was overcome with the aid of a practitioner in three days.
My mother, through the study of the Christian Science text-book, has been healed of heart trouble and of Bright's disease in a severe form. During these twelve years Christian Science has been our only physician. In these last few weeks it seems to me that I have felt more grateful than ever before for Christian Science. It is not our words but our lives that image forth our gratitude. Mrs. Eddy says on page 520 of Science and Health, "The depth, breadth, height, might, majesty, and glory of infinite Love fill all space. That is enough!" Yes, infinite Love and infinite Life fill all space, and there is no place for hate or death in this infinity. It is enough ! Day by day, as the blessings in Christian Science unfold to me, I revere and love our Leader more. To God be all the worship, all the adoration, all the glory.— South Pasadena, Cal.
