This testimony is given in gratitude for the many benefits received through Christian Science. My two children and myself have had many healings during the past two years. The first one, and that which stands out most strongly in my experience, is that of the younger boy, who was taken sick in the afternoon and by night had all the symptoms of a fever. As my young sister had been healed of acute lung trouble through Christian Science, I thought I would give it a trial in this case; but intended, if healing did not take place that night, to call a physician in the morning. I called upon a Christian Science practitioner, and asked him to help the little boy. Upon returning home again, I read the ninety-first Psalm and went to bed, both the boy and myself sleeping more peacefully than ever before. The next morning the child was up early and playing about as usual,—perfectly healed.
While away on a vacation last summer, the other child was bitten by a dog in three places, one cut being just under the eye, and so badly torn that it seemed as if stitches would have to be taken. I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, and in three days the cuts were all healed over, only slight scratches being visible, and these rapidly disappeared. For the past two years all the attacks of so-called children's diseases have been met and overcome through Christian Science. While the children were being treated, I myself was healed of biliousness, headaches, eye trouble, a skin disease, and although three physicians had told me I would never be a well woman unless an operation were performed, I have for the last eighteen months been perfectly well. Not only have I been helped physically, but mentally, financially, and above all, spiritually, for which I can never in words express my gratitude to God; also to Mrs. Eddy for this truth, and that channels have been opened through, which it has come to me.— Belmont, Mass.
