I am very thankful for Christian Science and would like to express my gratitude in a recent demonstration over a fall. In going into a room I slipped on the polished floor and in falling injured my hand. Being very busy at the time, I neglected the necessary mental work until the seeming pain and inability to use the hand called my attention to it, when I found my wrist much swollen. I had commenced to treat myself when this beautiful thought from our beloved Leader presented itself: "The plea of False Belief we deem unworthy of a hearing. Let what False Belief utters, now and forever, fall into oblivion, 'unknelled, uncoffined, and unknown.' According to our statute, Material Law is a liar who cannot bear witness against Mortal Man, neither can Fear arrest Mortal Man nor can Disease cast him into prison" (Science and Health, p. 441). I believe the demonstration was instantaneous. I forgot all about the trouble and fifteen minutes afterward all pain and swelling had gone and I was using my hand as usual. This is only one of the many blessings which have come to me through Christian Science.— Portland, Ore.
