I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. About four years ago I was healed of chronic stomach trouble, bronchitis, and many other diseases. For years I had tried many physicians and material remedies of almost every kind, but received no help from them. When Christian Science was presented to me I had been under the care of a specialist for some time. He was very kind and did all he could to relieve my suffering, but instead of getting better I grew worse all the time. He at last told me there was nothing more to be done except for me to go away and take a rest, but in this sad and weak condition it seemed impossible for me to leave my home.
I got a copy of Science and Health and began to study. I did not at first understand much in the book, but was told to study and apply what I understood. I did this, and the little I understood was so beautiful and reasonable that I was longing to know more of this religion. I continued to read and began to improve from the first day. In about three weeks I was healed, and through my wonderful healing all the members of my family became interested in Christian Science and have had opportunity to test this truth that makes us free.
Since my healing there have not been any medicines used in our home. We have depended entirely on God, as we learn to do in Christian Science. This book, Science and Health, explained to me things which I had longed to know from childhood.
