I wish to express publicly my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. When I started to attend the Christian Science services, a little over three years ago, I was a strong believer in medicine and used it freely, but for all that I would have spells of fever. I had headache nearly all the time, and suffered from rheumatism, my back being so lame that when I stooped down it was very difficult for me to straighten up. I felt that if these conditions continued it would be necessary for me to leave the Canal Zone.
I had consulted doctors, but got no relief, and I had no hope that all my ills would be cured by Christian Science. I asked for no treatment, but attended the services, read the literature, and tried to shape my life after the teachings of Christian Science, and the result has been wonderful.
