It is with a grateful heart that I wish to tell of the blessings which I have experienced through Christian Science. I had been suffering for several years with an affection of the stomach and displacement of some internal organs. About three years ago the trouble became so aggravated that I could hardly take any nourishment. To this was added enlargement of the liver, besides which I had to wear a truss and suffered great pain. My condition was growing worse with every day, and after having sought the help of several physicians with no success, I heard of Christian Science and attended the services and meetings. I also devoted myself to the reading of Der Herold der Christian Science and other Christian Science literature, and after some time felt very much better. I then applied for treatment to a practitioner, as I had not ventured to lay the truss aside; but she told me to do so without fear, it being the only thing holding me; and thus I was healed with one treatment of the trouble which had been pronounced incurable by the physicians. Whereas formerly I could eat only very light food, I now partake of everything, neither do I wear any truss, and am able to make long walking tours without discomfort.
A few weeks ago my husband was troubled with what was pronounced a malignant mouth affection. The practitioner to whom we applied for help took up absent treatment, and after four days my husband was freed from the disease. We thank God, and are grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, from the depths of our hearts for having shown us the way of Truth.— Berlin-Rixdorf, Germany.
