It is from a heart filled with gratitude...

From the February 1913 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is from a heart filled with gratitude to God that I add my testimony to the many thousands given for our cause. I had been ill for years, a great sufferer, and to mortal sense there was no hope for me. Through ill health I had, it seemed to me, lost my sight; but oh, what rejoicing when I realized my health was never lost, that through the diligent searching of the Scriptures, the study of Science and Health, our Lesson-sermons, and our other literature, I could be made whole. I have found the journey thus far from sense to Soul one of joy, for which I cannot give thanks enough in words, but in deeds I can serve the Master. I have fought a hard fight, have had error in every form to overcome, but I can at last say the victory is won on the side of Truth.

After much suffering, after being told by two oculists and two physicians that they could do no more for me, and after positively refusing to be operated upon, I at last found the "pearl of great price," the "Comforter" for every affliction. I have had many demonstrations over other than physical need. Whatever the error that may arise, I find that just as soon as I leave the problem for divine Love to solve for me, it is done —there is nothing to solve. Surely, as our Leader tells us, "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494). It only remains for us to do our part, and there is nothing to fear.

To Mrs. Eddy we owe much love, and strict obedience to her teachings. This is sent with a grateful heart.—
