With a grateful heart I must acknowledge the many blessings I have received through Christian Science, especially in the study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. When I first heard of Christian Science I was suffering from what the doctors called rheumatism, heart disease, and tubercular disease of the bowels, but it was not until a year later that I was healed by Christian Science, on my homestead in North Dakota.
In February, 1909, I was in bed with what was called appendicitis, besides all the other ailments from which I was suffering. I was given up by the doctors, but this extremity proved to be God's opportunity. I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner for help, and I cannot explain in words the peace and rest I experienced when the Christ-healing commenced its work. All I can say is, that it was "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding." I was healed from all the diseases in a few treatments. I have had some good demonstrations since I took up the study of Christian Science, not only in sickness, but in the overcoming of old habits and appetites, which is a blessing.
I write this testimony with the hope that it may lead others who are suffering into the light which shines in the darkness; and with thankfulness and love to God, and deep gratitude to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has left us this rich legacy, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."— Alberta, Canada
