OUR text-book teaches that "all is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all" (Science and Health, p. 468). From this it follows that all desire and ability to think and say and do anything that is right and good and true, comes from and is one with the divine Mind, much as every ray of sunshine is one with the sun. Jesus said, "I can of mine own self do nothing;" also, "The Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works."
There is a right way of doing everything that is normal and legitimate in the affairs of men; and, as we have seen, that which is right and good emanates from God, "with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." It is evident, therefore, that if thought and action proceed from the perception that there is but one real cause and its effect, there can be but one correct solution to a human problem. To infinite, unchanging Principle, the source of all right thought, there can be but one method, and true unanimity among Christian Scientists in the settlement of matters of mutual interest consists in the endeavor to understand and realize this one divine way.
This is why the worthy members of a Christian Science church strive ever to bring out unity of thought and action in all matters pertaining to the welfare of the church. Although there may at first be different views expressed as to what the proper method may be in any specific instance, all will agree that in reality there is but one right way for any particular question to be settled. The fruit of this united realization is made manifest in the results which follow, one of these being an increased sense of brotherly love which is felt by all.
