I am truly thankful to God for the benefits received through Christian Science, and thinking that some one may be benefited by reading my testimony, I gladly send it for publication in our periodicals.
My little girl had been suffering with catarrh ever since she was about a year old. In consequence, her stomach and bowels were constantly out of order, so that she could not digest her food unless a strong dose of medicine was used. She had become very nervous and restless at night, was always pale and without that vivacity so natural in children of her age. My wife and I were greatly worried about her, and we consulted doctors and tried various remedies, but it was all to no avail.
The doctor had advised us to take the child to a southern climate or near the sea-coast. At that time her weight was far below the average. I had heard very little of Christian Science when a friend told me of the benefits he had received, of healing accomplished in himself and others. I had told him of my worry, and had no idea that Christian Science could do much for the child. His words started me thinking, however, and I considered the matter until the next night, when I consulted my wife and we decided to try Christian Science . treatment. Words are insufficient to express the joy of our hearts in realizing the truth, the love, and the goodness of God. Just three weeks from the time a Christian Science practitioner came to see the child, she was free from all the ailments above-named and wonderfully improved in every way. This was a very happy experience for us, and we rejoiced over the healing, which, we are glad to say, has proved permanent.
