In gratitude for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought to me, I write this testimony. Previous to 1910 I had always been considered frail and delicate, and five years ago I had an operation performed, with the hope of being relieved of a hemorrhage from which I suffered; but instead of being bettered I grew worse.
Believing that it was my lot to suffer, I continued my weary existence until June, 1910, when I had another severe hemorrhage. Again a physician was sent for, who did all he could for me and then advised another operation. At this point my sister asked me to try Christian Science, and this I consented to do. A practitioner was called in, and after she had read to me from Science and Health and given me treatment, I fell asleep and slept all night, the first time for weeks. The next day I could sit up, the pain had subsided, and from that time I gradually grew stronger. In a few weeks I was perfectly healed and able to do my work in the home. I have since learned to help myself and my children to overcome any ills which arise, knowing as I now do that God is ever present, and that if we ask aright we shall surely receive.
For the spiritual understanding gained through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," I am even more grateful than for the physical healing, and it is my hope that this testimony will help some poor wayfarer.— Halifax, England
