Gratitude for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought to me impels me to send this testimony. I was brought into this truth through physical healing a few years ago. At that time I was in Amarillo, Texas, where I had been sent to fight lung trouble, supposed to be hereditary. On the train I took a severe cold, which caused such intense suffering after a few days, that I was compelled to turn somewhere for relief. As a last resort I determined to try Christian Science.
The practitioner told me to come to her every morning. When I heard this, I thought it would be an impossibility, as I was in such misery. The next morning, however, I walked a distance of several blocks to her home, although the weather was intensely cold and there was much snow on the ground. After three days I was free from pain. Gradually every symptom left me, and I began to gain in weight and to feel and look like a new person. In a short time I returned home, a well and happy girl, for in a few weeks I was completely healed. The truth has indeed made me free, so that I can live in any climate.
I am deeply grateful for the spiritual uplift and peace of mind which have come to me. For all these blessings I am striving to live a better life each day, thus showing my thankfulness to God, and my gratitude to all who have helped me to find the truth.— Kansas City, Mo.
