I feel it is my duty to give testimony to what Christian Science has done for us. It was in the summer of 1912 that we took up its study, and I am very thankful to God that I was led to it at the time when all other help seemed to fail. I was healed of severe headaches, from which I had suffered for over twenty one years. There was hardly a day passed without one, and I was often ill from eight to ten days. The doctors said the headache was caused by female trouble. During one of these nervous spells a dear friend handed me some Christian Science literature and asked if I did not want to try Science. I told her I did, and have blessed her ever since for the healing truth she brought me.
I was likewise healed of a severe cough of fifteen years' standing, which the doctors said was caused by catarrh; and of a backache for which all kinds of doctors and medicines had been tried, but with no benefit whatever. Our home had been broken up three different times by the advice of doctors to change climate, which, however, did not help me any. With the aid of a Christian Science practitioner I was healed of all these diseases.
After my husband had seen my healing he turned to Christian Science, when he was given up by three physicians, and was completely healed of stomach disorder, which he had had for over twenty years. The doctors called it dropsy. He also had imperfect heart action, but was entirely healed by Christian Science in three weeks of these and other ills.
