It is with a heart overflowing with love and gratitude to God for the many benefits received in Christian Science that I add my testimony to the ever increasing list in our periodicals. In youth I was affected with some kind of spinal trouble. My life was despaired of, but a kind doctor did all he could for me and a loving mother and faithful friends nursed me back to comparative health, although the doctor said I would never get over the effects of the disease.
Suffering increased as the years went by, and after raising a family of seven children I was to mortal sense almost a nervous wreck; then I decided to try Christian Science. I went to a practitioner, who lovingly began treatment, and in three days I was healed of many discordant conditions, among others stiffness of the joints, from which I had suffered since childhood. I have never suffered from nervousness since that first treatment. It has been nearly four years since I came into Science, and although I have had several attacks of sickness during that time, yet with the aid of a practitioner and the knowledge I have gained of the truth, these have been speedily overcome.
I am indeed thankful for the understanding of divine Principle which has been revealed to us in Christian Science. I am trying daily to gain more in the knowledge of this Science through the study of the Bible and the Christian Science text book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. My prayer is that I may be a living witness to the truth. — Belton, Texas.
