It was my privilege to experience a remarkable instance of the love and omnipotent power of God in the summer of 1913. For five years I had suffered with stubborn attacks of so-called hay-fever, which caused me great distress, especially during the beautiful season of the year when everything was blooming. My entire body was so much affected that I was incapable of doing any work, and besides, I could find no rest at night. Change of air, also medical treatment, had no effect whatsoever upon this most distressing trouble, and I came to dread the springtime yearly.
Having heard of Christian Science and its blessed influence through friends, I attended a Wednesday evening meeting and then applied for treatment for another serious case of illness in our family. I called at the home of a Christian Science practitioner, and the sight of a few flowers caused me to mention my own trouble. The lady had such a convincing way of explaining the power of divine Love and the grace bestowed upon man, that the understanding of God's omnipotent power replaced my wrong concept of it that very day, and it did not take more than a few days for me to be delivered from the hay-fever.
I am profoundly grateful to God for having led me to find Christian Science, and my endeavor shall be to penetrate more and more into the realm of Truth, and to be not only a hearer but also a doer of the word of God.— Dresden,Germany.
