I was healed of serious sickness by Christian Science. All hope had been given up when, at the advice of a dear friend and as a last resort, a Christian Science practitioner was called in to give me treatment. The doctor had warned my wife that, should another convulsion set in during the night it would mean the end—he and the consulting physician could not. help me any more. My relatives were called to my bedside, as all except my wife and our dear Christian Science friend had given up hope. That night, after the practitioner had left me, the dreaded convulsions set in, but soon I fell into a quiet sleep and in the morning the fever had diminished considerably. I had been delirious all this time, and after regaining consciousness was informed what Christian Science had done for me.
The doctor who had so faithfully attended me through all my sickness and to whom much gratitude is due, was greatly surprised in the morning to find me looking much brighter, and remarked: "Why, the patient has red lips! This is a good sign; he might have a chance for getting better." We learned afterward that the divine Principle of healing had in a most wondrous way cured me, and this caused the blood to circulate freely in my veins; in one word, it made me "whole." It was the wonder of my awakening in Christian Science.
It is difficult to describe my gratitude for this beautiful healing, which made a different man of me, as it proved to me the all-power of God, ever-present divine Love, as taught so clearly by our revered Leader. Both my wife and I have become ardent students of Christian Science, and our aim is to live in obedience to Christ, Truth.— Weehawken Heights, N. J.
