I AM truly grateful for the help that Christian Science has been to me. In February, 1914, I was taken ill with hemorrhage. A doctor was sent for, and after I had been under his treatment for six weeks he told me that he had done all he could, and that I must be taken to a nursing home in Manchester to undergo an operation, as one of the internal organs was ruptured and no medicine would ever touch or heal it. My husband and I would not consent to an operation, but decided to rely entirely on God's power to heal me. He went to a Christian Scientist and stated the case. A treatment was given at once, and after the second one the same afternoon the hemorrhage ceased. From that time on I gradually got stronger every day. In all I was in bed eight weeks, six of them under medical treatment; but after two weeks' sole reliance on Christian Science I was up. Now I am doing the work for my family of eight persons and can say truly that I am feeling better than for the last five years.— Milnrow, Rochdale, England.
