I am in the employ of a firm of manufacturers in this town, but some four years ago I was forced to leave my work on account of illness, and from that time until February, 1914, was unable to do any work at all. I suffered from gastric catarrh, and no food except milk would stay on my stomach. Then I had a very bad fistula, and there was also an injury to the bladder which only an operation could heal, according to the doctors. I was racked with rheumatism, which used to make me incapable of moving for days. Besides all this, I was so nearly blind that I could not see any one sitting near me. I was told that my heart was affected and that I had lung trouble. I was operated upon once, but it proved to be useless and the doctors refused to operate again.
When I had given up all hope one of my employers came to me with Christian Science. I had never heard of it, but I accepted it, and am now working ten hours a day in my old factory, completely healed of all these ills. From the day he came to me, Dec. 6, 1913, I never took one drop of medicine or asked any doctor for help. I was healed entirely by the grace of God through Christian Science. I am only a simple man, and cannot use words to express my thanks, but by my life and by helping others I hope to show my gratitude for the wonderful healing I have received.— Northampton, England.
