It is nearly five years since I became interested in Christian Science. I am thankful to say that I had no opposing thought toward this truth. Christian Science has opened the Bible to me and shown me that God, divine Principle, is man's Life and governs all action. I am striving each day to be more obedient to the first two commandments.
We have had many beautiful demonstrations of the power of Truth in our home through our own work as well as that of a practitioner. My husband was healed of blood-poison in a short time. The symptoms appeared on Wednesday, and on Thursday conditions were very painful. He went to a Christian Science practitioner for help, and when he came home hopped from the street car into the house, as the leg was so stiff. The practitioner told him not to fear, for he would be able to go to work the next morning. He did so, and walked fourteen blocks with very little difficulty. This was a proof that, as Mrs. Eddy tells us on page 495 of Science and Health, "God will heal the sick through man, whenever man is governed by God."
What a grand thing to know that our remedy is always at, hand and is available at all times. This truth means much to a mother in the bringing up of her children, for a child is so faithful and free from doubt. I cannot express clearly enough in words my deep gratitude for this wonderful truth which Mrs. Eddy has given to the world. I am grateful for the Christian Science literature, and for the testimonies which are given in our periodicals, for they always help us to understand. My greatest desire is to learn more of God through Christian Science.— Peoria, Ill.
