When mankind awake to the great benefits they are receiving through the discovery of Christian Science, then will they be thankful to God and grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the scientific understanding which heals. I awoke to this fact about sixteen years ago, and while I have made many mistakes and experienced some downcast moments, I have found a universal and practical help in applying Christian Science as a healing agency both to myself and to others.
While riding my bicycle one day I turned to cross the car track and fell heavily to the pavement. with some difficulty I arose and mentally repeated the "scientific statement of being" (Science and Health, p. 468). The extreme pain ceased from that moment. I left the wheel in a store and went on my way us usual. Returning in the afternoon I wondered how I could get the wheel home, for I seemed to be compelled to limp, but I mounted it and rode home, experiencing only a little difficulty in dismounting. I was advised to see a physician to ascertain if any bones were broken, and did so the next day. He pronounced it a bad sprain and bound up the ankle, but I was home one day only and used no support of a material nature. I attribute the reduction of swelling (the ankle seemed twice its usual size), the disappearance of inflammation, and the general normal condition of the leg to the work done in Christian Science, and to the fact that fear was destroyed at the outset and the allness of divine Love realized.
I rejoice therefore with other thousands that the Christ has come, is here, and heals those who think and live according to the Bible and to "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.— Norwalk, Conn.
