For ten years I was a great sufferer from an abnormal growth of a fibrous nature, also from stomach and bowel trouble. I was able to eat only certain kinds of foods, and at times could have nothing but milk. My eyes were in a dreadful condition. Glasses had been worn for several years, but still I suffered from frequent headaches.
Different doctors who attended me said nothing but an operation could help me, and my heart was too weak to stand the shock of that. They did all they could to ease my suffering, but it seemed as though I had not much longer to live, when I was advised to try Christian Science. I did not believe it would help me, but was willing to give it a trial. The practitioner was very patient with all my fear, and through her understanding in five weeks I was entirely healed. My glasses were laid aside, and I was able to eat anything and do my own work. Now for over six years I have had perfect health.
I thank God for our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who gave us "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which is such a help in the study of the Bible. May we as Scientists so live that we may help some weary mortal to exchange the fetters which bind him for the peace that passes understanding.— Ashtabula, Ohio.
