I have been a student of Christian Science for about four and a half years, and have been richly rewarded for every effort. The knowledge gained of this beautiful truth, so lovingly presented to us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, has enabled me to draw the line of demarcation between the real and the unreal, between good and evil. I am learning to love my neighbor as myself and to do unto others as I would have them do unto me. Before turning to Science I was like a ship at the mercy of the storm tossed waves and without a pilot to guide it safely into port.
Christian Science has indeed proved a haven of rest, to me. Through the study of Science and Health in connection with the Bible, and the reading of the authorized Christian Science literature, I have come to enjoy in a measure that peace which passes all human understanding. I have been able to overcome several discordant conditions, among them lumbago of five years' standing, which had made me a great sufferer. I was also healed of stomach trouble; but the healing for which I am most grateful is the overcoming of the fear of death. In my four and one half years in Christian Science I have had one week's treatment from a practitioner for a throat trouble, which was entirely overcome, and today am enjoying the blessing of good health.
For the many blessings that have come to me through the understanding of His holy Word my heart is overflowing with thankfulness to God and with gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her untiring efforts in working out every truth she has presented to the world in Science and Health and her other writings. I am grateful for the Christian Science church, for its officers and members; and I recognize in all a channel through which divine Love works for the good of all mankind.—Indianapolis, Ind.
