About five years ago I experienced my first healing through Christian Science, when a serious attack of peritonitis was overcome in a few treatments. Since that time Christian Science has been the means of making my whole life over, replacing discord with harmony, strife with peace, wrong with right; and it is constantly eliminating the false from the true. It has taught me to know God as an ever-present help, and Love as the expeller of all evil. It is daily teaching me, through the study and application of its teachings, how to enjoy better conditions,—moral, physical, mental, and financial.
For years I believed that work was my supply and sole support, but the past year has proven to me that divine Love is the source of supply. The overcoming of that old belief was a wonderful stride in the growth of understanding. Self-pity, pride, extravagance, and numerous other faults have been corrected through the saving power of Truth. Christian Science is the gospel of my salvation, and can there be any wonder at my unbounded gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, who has made it possible for me to receive this heritage through her teaching in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and has also made the Bible a treasure in my possession? I rejoice with all who have accepted this blessed truth, for I know it lifts humanity into a realm of joy, peace, and comfort in proportion to their practice of its teachings.— New York, N. Y.
