For the daily blessings that are mine as the result of the understanding thus far gained of Christian Science, I wish to express my gratitude. Through faithful study and obedience to its teachings as found in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I have proven that Christian Science is a practical understanding of God's omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience; or, in other words, of God's allness.
As proof of this I have been able to eliminate from my experience, without further recurrence, bowel trouble, a foe of many years' standing; influenza and a throat affection which were annual winter visitors; and a condition of my side which a physician thought serious enough to lay down for me a medical law whose warnings and mental pictures filled me with constant fear. Since these healings I have found Christian Science an ever-present preventive when I have been able to realize the truth of this statement from Science and Health (p. 411): "Disease is always induced by a false sense mentally entertained, not destroyed."
In common with every other student of Christian Science who is applying these truths to his individual daily problems, I am having proof of the power of good to destroy every phase of evil, and I daily thank God for the revelation of Christian Science to the consciousness of Mrs. Eddy, and for her unselfish toil in giving it to mankind that they through this knowledge may also prove God's omnipotence.— East Orange, N.
