For the many blessings received since coming into Christian Science I wish to express my gratitude. Rheumatism and many other ills have been overcome through the understanding of the truth. About four years ago my left arm was broken below the shoulder joint. A doctor set the bone and bandaged the arm, but two weeks afterward it broke again. I went back to the doctor and asked him to loosen the bandage, saying it was too tight, but he would not do so. One week later, when putting on a new bandage, he saw that the bone had broken again and said he could do no more, but that I should go to the hospital and have an operation on the arm, as the bone had to be wired together. I would not agree to that, so told him to put the bandage on as I wanted it.
I then called a Christian Science Practitioner and had absent treatment. Twelve hours from the time treatment was begun the bone was in its right place, and seven weeks from the first break the healing was complete. The doctor asked if he could see the arm, and when he looked at it he said it was in good condition. An X-ray was taken of the arm, and it showed plainly where the bone had been broken. I am very thankful to God for His help, and grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy.—Mapleton, Minn.
