I have wished for some time to tell the world what Christian Science has done for me. For more than a year I was sick with so-called stomach trouble. I was treated by many doctors and by two of the best stomach specialists in this city, but I "was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse," as had been the experience of the woman who after wards touched the hem of Christ's garment and was healed. I had not worked for months and could not eat or sleep. I continually lost in weight. When all material remedies had failed, Christian Science was recommended to me, and I soon found it to be the truth which takes away the sins of the world. I improved from the first and was healed in a few treatments. I am grateful not only for the physical healing but above all for the spiritual uplift. Christian Science brought me out of the miry clay and set my feet on solid ground, and I can say with Job, "I know that my redeemer liveth."
I will add that I was a nurse in a hospital and studied materia medica for ten years. I tried all the remedies I knew of, but they failed to cure me. As the result of Christian Science treatment I am today a well and healthy man. No words of mine can tell of the gratitude I feel for what the noble woman, the Founder of this great movement, has given to the world.— San Antonio, Texas.
