In the latter part of 1915 I was entirely healed of chronic bowel trouble and hemorrhoids in one Christian Science treatment. For sixteen years I took medicines almost every night. Physicians said I would have to be operated on for the hemorrhoids and would probably have to take medicine always to regulate the bowels. I was also healed in three or four days of a tubercular cough from which I suffered every year for three or four months. My sister having passed on with tubercular disease, I had great fear of the same experience, especially as the doctors claimed that one of my lungs was weak. I lost quite, a few pounds in weight and was very nervous on account of this cough. Since studying Christian Science I have lost the terrible fear of having another attack and have gained wonderful understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him.
