"Man's extremity is God's opportunity," and I am grateful to have proved it. After I lost faith in God and mankind, Christian Science was brought to my notice, and I was healed of a supposedly incurable bowel trouble of fifteen years' standing, from which there had been no relief without drugs. Through the study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and with the aid of a practitioner, I have had numerous other proofs of the power of God. Among them was the instantaneous healing of an abscess at the root of a tooth which the dentist told me meant a series of severe treatments and a probable return of the condition. Colds and burns have also been overcome. My son was healed of enlarged adenoids by the reflection of Truth in the home, and an abscess in the ear disappeared after one treatment.
We find that as the result of our daily study and application of Christian Science, sickness is being replaced with health, discord with harmony, lack and limitation with abundance. I am grateful to God for these beautiful demonstrations, but much more so for the spiritual uplift of thought. Christian Science is teaching me to be a better woman, and I am striving daily to be worthy the name of Christian Scientist.
