I should like to testify to the healing power of Christian Science. All my life I had been delicate, and for fifteen years I suffered constantly from diseased kidneys and ulcers in the stomach. In 1905 one kidney was removed. I then hoped to become well, but the other kidney became affected, with the result that I nearly always had a dull pain and was never free from fever. The stomach trouble was very painful; I suffered off and on both day and night. Medicine, rest cures, diet, and other supposed means of relief were tried, but nothing seemed to help. I was also in a serious nervous condition, owing to the constant suffering and sleepless nights; and nervous twitchings made me dread to go to bed.
In December, 1914, I met a Christian Scientist who explained to me that I was suffering through my own ignorance. I made up my mind to depend on God, Love, alone for help, so medicine and all material remedies were laid aside at once. From that time I have been a healthy woman. Christian Science has made me a very happy woman too, for I know now that I have found the truth. Jesus said, "If ye continue in my word, ... ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." This I have experienced, and so feel deeply grateful.— Stockholm, Sweden.
