Having been interested in Christian Science for over nine years, I should like to express my gratitude for the many blessings it has brought into my life. The overcoming of chronic bowel trouble, stomach disorder, ringworm, and the restoration of my singing voice, which had seemingly been lost for over four months, are some of the benefits received. What means much more to me, however, is the fact that Christian Science is uprooting the cause of my ills by spiritualizing my thought, giving me an understanding of God and the Bible which I had never before possessed. In the overcoming of resentment the following words, found on
page 224 of "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy, have been very helpful: "It is our pride that makes another's criticism rankle, our self-will that makes another's deed offensive, our egotism that feels hurt by another's self-assertion. Well may we feel wounded by our own faults; but we can hardly afford to be miserable for the faults of others."
It is my sincere desire to express my thankfulness to God, and to Christ Jesus, also my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, by obeying the Master's commandment, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."— Los Angeles, Cal.
