I have been wonderfully blessed through Christian Science. In 1912 I became acquainted with a lady who was a Christian Scientist and found her a wonderful help. She taught me that right thinking is knowing Him in whom "we live, and move, and have our being." In June, 1916, I hurt my foot. I could not bend the instep and the ankle was badly swollen. I hobbled up to my friend's house to ask her to help me, and when we had finished reading the Lesson-Sermon my foot was healed; it was quite normal.
Then again later I was in an accident and at the time wrenched my back very seriously. When I arrived home at night it was very painful. After going to bed I read from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy for some time and then fell asleep, but when I awoke the pain was more severe and I could not get up, so I again asked for Christian Science help. My message was received at half past eleven that morning and by one o'clock I was able to get up and go to work. I realized that God was my "refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
My heart goes out in thankfulness to God as All-in-all, and in gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, whose life work has enabled us to understand the Scriptures from their spiritual standpoint and so make them practical in our lives.— Northampton, England.
