So many inquiries with respect to the editorial changes in the Publishing House have been made that the Trustees deem it their duty to make known to the field the exact truth with regard to the situation as to which many false statements have been and are being circulated. We do this, not because any appreciable effect has been wrought upon the great number of Christian Scientists throughout the country, but because we find that in certain sections some have accepted these false statements because uncontradicted by us.
We do not believe that any substantial number of loyal Christian Scientists can be persuaded to join in an attempt to impair, if not to destroy, institutions founded and named by Mrs. Eddy, but that such is a plan which has been contrived by certain misguided people cannot be denied.
