I Do not ask to know Thy will. I know.
But I do ask that Thou wilt give
The strength and courage still to live
And do the will I know.
I do not ask to see Thy path. I see.
But I do ask that Thou wilt guide
My erring feet when they would slide
Far from the path I see.
I do not ask to hear Thy voice. I hear.
But I do need obedience, Lord,
That I, when comes Thy loving Word,
Obey the voice I hear.
I do not ask to feel Thy love. I feel.
But oh, may I, when comes the blow
From trusted friend who proves a foe,
Reflect the Love I feel.
