Within thy gates I daily walk,
And up to heaven's blue
I lift my gaze, while angels talk
Of all that's pure and true.
Of thy pure fount of flowing love
I drink the healing streams,
And find a peace far, far above
The fondest earthly dreams.
The Master's simple life of old
Thy radiance now reveals;
The sick are healed, his words retold,
And man his freedom feels.
A joy serene thy message brings
And opens wide my view;
The heart to God thanksgiving sings
And starts the day anew.
