About four years ago our eldest son was taken suddenly ill while preparing for school. The condition was such that I became greatly alarmed and called in our family physician. On his arrival he said, "Don't worry, it is a spasm." About four weeks later he had another attack, and a month later a third one, but this time it was pronounced to be epilepsy. He was put on a diet and the only consolation given was that he might outgrow it. The attacks continued every four or five weeks for a year and a half, when Christian Science was presented to us and we readily accepted it, as we had never heard of material medicine curing this affliction.
It took about three months for us to decide to take the children from the Sunday school which they were attending and to take them to the Christian Science Sunday school, soon after which our son was completely healed. It is now over two years since his healing took place and there has not been a recurrence of the difficulty. Since that time there have been many other healings in the family, including that of the tobacco habit,—chewing and smoking,—stomach trouble, effects of poison ivy, and others too numerous to mention. I would also like to say that the doctor marveled at this healings of our son and hoped our blessings would continue.
Words cannot express our thankfulness to God and our gratitude to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for this wonderful truth which she so lovingly revealed to the world.
