In the one hundred and third psalm we read, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." Christian Science is the greatest benefit or blessing that ever came into my experience. I had known of Christian Science for about twenty-five years, but I knew nothing of what it really is until a few years ago while on a vacation during a time of mental distress. When I began to read Christian Science literature, I was at once convinced not only of its healing power but of its absolute truth, and I exclaimed: "Why has not some one told me before what Christian Science really is?" Returning to the city I attended a Christian Science church for the first time, and so great was the peace and satisfaction found there that although I had been a devout member of a denominational church all my life I never went back to the old church. Within sixteen months I was a member of a branch church and later of The Mother Church. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for membership in this healing Church of Christ, Scientist, founded and organized by the Discoverer of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy.
About a year ago, with the help of a loving friend and also of a practitioner many miles from here, to whom I owe much gratitude, I was enabled to go through a very interesting experience in dental surgery. At this time one tooth was temporarily filled and one extracted, without an anæsthetic of any kind and without causing the slightest pain or inconvenience. For many manifestations of God's healing love and protecting care during the past three years, I do indeed give thanks to our Father-Mother God, and to Christ Jesus, the master Christian, and I am earnestly grateful to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who has made the demonstrable religion of Jesus available to this age. — New York, New York.
