For years there seemed to be a void in my life. Until I was old enough to think for myself, I had accompanied my mother to church; but as I grew older and read the Bible and understood it better, I found that I did not enjoy the services and after a while I refused to attend but tried to obey the instructions of Christ Jesus as given in Matthew, "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
