I am grateful to God, to Christ Jesus the Way-shower, and to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for the revelation of the glorious truth which makes free. The understanding of this truth healed me of tuberculosis. My mother had passed away with this disease and, while I knew a little of Christian Science, when it suggested itself to me I was fearful, and it seemed best to go to a practitioner for help. I was lovingly told that a material sense of lungs has nothing to do with Life, that Life is not dependent on matter, and that God is Life. The fear was destroyed in a few treatments, and in a short time every manifestation of the disease had gone. This was about eight years ago, and since then I have been most active physically, while gaining daily in the understanding of God and of man's relation to Him. One of Mrs. Eddy's statements that has been so helpful to me begins on page 205 of Science and Health: "When we fully understand our relation to the Divine, we can have no other Mind but His,—no other Love, wisdom, or Truth, no other sense of Life, and no consciousness of the existence of matter or error."
Through the demonstrations of Christian Science I have learned that Love takes care of every problem so much better than we can possibly plan. To cite an instance of this, I may say that I had received no training to prepare me for a place in the business world, and on account of my mother's condition I was needed at home. My schooling had therefore been limited; but with the aid of Christian Science I was enabled to take a course that has fitted me for happy activity in a remarkably short space of time.
I wish to express my love for and appreciation of the church services, the Lesson-Sermons, and all of the Christian Science literature. I am grateful to have it to share with others. —Chicago, Illinois.
