As I think of the blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science. I feel I must testify to some of them. It is nineteen years since I found this wonderful truth. When I first heard of this healing power I had been in bed seventeen days with a severe bladder trouble. The pain was almost more than I could bear. Doctors came every day but I received no relief.
One day one of my neighbors came to see me and left a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I commenced to read it that evening and the next morning arose from my bed, dressed, and went about my household duties, and have never had a return of that trouble. I am thankful for the right understanding of God, for the knowledge of God as Love who heals not only sin but sickness as well. I am thankful to know how to cast out all wrong thinking as shadows of mortal belief, and thankful to know that the truth leads us into health and happiness that mortal thought cannot reach. While I am filled with gratitude for the physical healings. I am more grateful for the spiritual awakening. In all these years I have never had to use that old word "tired," nor many other words of the same kind.
I am so glad for the privilege of being a member of a branch church. I cannot express in words my gratitude to God for all these blessings. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who so unselfishly gave all that we might share with her the joys of Spirit. I am thankful to all who have helped me to gain an understanding of the truth, which has enabled me to help others. My life has been changed; "old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new." My one desire is to live the truth.
