Christian Science has been of the greatest help to me ever since I began studying it several years ago, following the healing of a dislocated jaw. This condition had been the cause of much inconvenience and some pain for quite a time. I spoke to my dentist about it and he advised me to go to a specialist, which I did. The specialist had not much more to tell me than the dentist, except to say that it would be necessary for me to have an X-ray examination to find out what the difficulty was. This greatly disturbed me, as an X-ray examination was something which I greatly feared and I did not know where to turn for relief. When we returned home my mother asked me if I would not have Christian Science treatment for it, which I consented to do.
The next morning I went to a practitioner, and she very kindly gave me a treatment. The following morning when brushing my teeth, which was always a very trying and painful task, I began to think of what the practitioner had told me the day before, and it came to me very clearly that if God did not know anything about my trouble, then I could not, because I could not know anything that He did not know. While realizing that simple truth a wonderful sense of peace came to me and I felt something move in my jaw, and from that day to this I have been free from that trouble. Since then I have had many convincing proofs of the healing power of Christian Science. It has also protected both my husband and me in very serious train and motor accidents so that there were no bad results. Through the help of Christian Science I was able to cross the ocean four times during the war, in peace and safety, in spite of the fact that once we were pursued by submarines. I am also very grateful for the lack of fear and for the sense of security experience! during the air raids in London. These and many other experiences cause me to be very thankful for Christian Science, but above all i am grateful for "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.—London, England.
