As a member of The Mother Church, and First Reader in our local Christian Science Society. I wish to confirm the testimony of healing submitted to you by my mother. I was with her in the office of a prominent St. Paul surgeon, who had operated on her twice before and to whom she had been sent by our local physician for the third operation for malignant tumor, when he told her it was useless to operate again, as he could do no more for her. We desired then to try Christian Science, though we knew very little of it. She placed her case at once in the care of an authorized Christian Science practitioner, and began to improve immediately. It was about seven years before the complete healing took place, —years of earnest studying and striving, for which we are grateful, as it not only enabled us to gain an understanding sufficient to help ourselves, but with the privilege of class instruction we have been able to help others, and thus advance the cause of Christian Science.
Words cannot express my gratitude to God, and to our beloved Leader, for the healing message of Christian Science, which is Immanuel. ''God with us." In my own family of three small children, measles, mumps, scarlet fever, ptomaine poisoning, bladder trouble, and many other ills have been overcome instantaneously.
