It is with deep gratitude that I testify to the following healing, which took place under Christian Science treatment. In July, 1914, I became conscious of difficulty with my throat, which gradually increased for two days, until I was obliged to leave my work in the bank where I was employed and seek help from a Christian Science practitioner. The difficulty still seemed to increase, and my throat was closed to the degree that swallowing was impossible. Intermittent fever developed and my throat became white. At the close of the third day I suddenly became aware of a decided improvement, with a return of appetite for light food. I arose from bed, and felt much better. The improvement continued throughout the next day, which was the Sunday following the attack. Monday morning I dressed, and left for my vacation in the mountains. Here I was obliged to walk the greater part of a mile and a half from the railroad station up steep mountain roads to the camp where I was to stay. Although I was not able to swallow solid food for a week, during this time the improvement was easily discernible to others, and by the end of the first week in camp I was able to sing for their entertainment.
This is but one of many blessings which have come to me through the application of Christian Science, as taught by Mary Baker Eddy. I am grateful for her faithful work in pointing out the way to those who are today ready for Jesus' method of healing and regeneration.
