In 1918, I learned of Christian Science. I was in such a state of mental depression that life was a great burden to me. For several years I had suffered from anæmia, nervousness, and stomach difficulties. I had consulted several physicians and tried all sorts of treatments without success. One day I wanted to know the truth, from a medical viewpoint, concerning my case; and the doctor told me that my life could be prolonged if I would consent to live three months in the mountains, come down for a month, and then repeat the experience. Just at this time a relative spoke to me of Christian Science. I went to see a practitioner, who kindly treated me; and I shall never forget with what patience and love she helped me to know and understand this beautiful truth.
Although the healing was slow, the demonstration was complete and wonderful. All the erroneous conditions have disappeared. I can say that for seven years I have enjoyed perfect health, and joy reigns in my home. It would be impossible for me to tell of all the help Christian Science has brought me during the years which have passed since then. I value it as the Comforter which, according to Jesus' promise, is to lead us "into all truth."
For all these proofs of Love I am deeply grateful, but still more so for the spiritual uplift. I am filled with gratitude to our Leader for this glorious revelation of God and His Christ.—Geneva, Switzerland.
