We read in the Preface to our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, these words (p. vii): "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." This testimony will prove the truth of our Leader's words.
Before knowing of Christian Science, I was a nurse. During the World War I had many experiences which proved to me that medicine cannot aid humanity in finding peace and relief from its troubles.
In 1920, while sojourning in the mountains with a little girl who had been intrusted to my care, I made the acquaintance of a young Christian Scientist from Lausanne. With a great deal of Christian love she told me of the truth, and encouraged me to seek the practical road for the little girl's health. On our return, I went to Lausanne to find a practitioner, who lovingly led me into Christian Science and helped the child, who made rapid progress. According to physicians, this child was suffering from general paralysis and chronic chorea. Her parents had consulted several renowned doctors in France, Belgium, and Switzerland, without obtaining any result.
