It is now over eight years since I became interested in Christian Science. At that time through reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for the first time, I was healed of eye trouble and was able to lay aside glasses which I had worn for a number of years. I have had no occasion to return to them.
Previous to taking up Christian Science I had been subject to a rundown condition every spring, and several times this developed into a nervous breakdown. That tendency has been entirely overcome, and I am strong and healthy. During the past several years it has been necessary for me to assume what seemed to be big responsibilities which under the old thought would have meant sooner or later that I would be "down and out" physically; but through applying the truth as we are taught in Christian Science and realizing that true responsibility may be said to be response to God's ability, I have found the experiences a real source of joy and gratitude.
I am increasingly grateful from day to day to Mrs. Eddy for her revelation of this truth, which can be applied to every problem; and through its application a higher understanding of God as ever present Life, Truth, and Love may be gained.— Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
