All my life I had had to be doctored for various complaints, and had been in bondage to certain so-called health laws. From the first glimpse of Truth which I gained through the study of Christian Science, my life was completely changed. So-called material remedies were destroyed, and the old complaints were healed without any special treatment; and for over twelve years I have relied entirely on the teachings of Christian Science. Some of the many healings which I have had were of rheumatism, gastric catarrh of the stomach, influenza, a badly ulcerated mouth, constant headaches, and eyestrain for which I had to wear glasses.
I am grateful for the physical healings, for the wonderful help and comfort received when going through a time of sorrow, and for the protecting power of Christian Science. I am grateful for a better understanding of God, and for the wonderful unfoldment of the spiritual truth contained in the Bible. Through this understanding one is able to prove daily that the Bible promises are just as practical now as they were in the time of Jesus and of the prophets. I am grateful for all the activities of the Christian Science movement, for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School, first as a pupil, and later as a teacher.— Manchester, Lancashire, England.
